Quantity A
(x ^0.75 )^4
Quantity B
x ^3
Quantity A is greater.
Quantity B is greater.
The two quantities are equal.
The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.
How is it not option C and the correct answer is marked as D
my thought process is since the powers can be multiplied hence 0.75 which is 3/4
and when 3/4 is multiplied by 4 the result is 3
but It is incorrect .
It’s to the POWER of 4, not multiplied by 4.
For exponents, you need to evaluate from the top right, so you need to do:
x^(0.75^4) first and NOT (x^0.75)^4
If x = 1 or x = 0, then they are equal
If x != 0 or x!= 1 then they are not equal

Hi Can you please confirm when some power is in the form (x^m)^n which can be simplified in the form x^m*n and when not
it is mostly the question of priority how can this be simplified
Yes if the brackets are like that, it can
