Algebra General Doubt

In the below problem, it is mentioned that r, s and t are consecutive odd integers and r<s<t.
WHAT IF the question does not state “r<s<t”, is the word ‘consecutive’ ENOUGH for me to understand that r is in-fact smaller than s which is smaller than t?

what if you count negative number, (-3,-5,-7), they are three consecutive odd integers but in here -3 > -5 > -7.

Hence, the question maker will have to give you some clue so that you can conclude this relationship otherwise its not a very well formed question!

GRE ususually will add the inequalities relationships after saying some numbers are consecutive even/odd integers
