So the water is entering at 2 gallons/hour but you are deterring the flow by taking it out from the other end. So what this means is that originally it would have filled much faster but since tap B is stopping that, so it is taking more time but eventually the drum is being filled in 96 hours. Now this means that 2 is greater than the rate that is flowing out at spout B (Let the rate be r). So the relative rate is (2-r)…Work done is 64 gallons as we are filling the entire drum and the time taken is 96 hours.
Now place it in the equation.
Work=Rate*Time
