So what this means is that originally it would have filled much faster but since tap B is stopping that, so it is taking more time but eventually the drum is being filled in 96 hours. Now this means that 2 is greater than the rate that is flowing out at spout B (Let the rate be r). So the relative rate is (2-r)…Work done is 64 gallons as we are filling the entire drum and the time taken is 96 hours.

Now place it in the equation.

Work=Rate*Time
