This is the problem at the beginning of the video “Fractions, Decimals, Percents, Ratios Part 2”
I thought my way of solving this problem is quite straightforward and intuitive as well, therefore, I wanted to share with others who may wonder if there’s another way out there.
r = remainder in my solution
Since s/t = 64.12. The remainder r/t must be equal 0.12. Therefore, r = 0.12*t. We know that r must be an integer (e.g. when 4/3 => the remainder is 1), therefore r must be the multiple of 0.12. Among all the answer choices, the only option that divided by 0.12 give us an integer is E
