Cud someone tell me how to solve this. I feel some information is missing
ans 14. d
ans 16. d
ans 20. d
Q 14, 8 students scored 100 marks and 2 scored 0 => average = 80
5 students scored 100 marks and 5 scored 60 => average = 80
Q 20, take x=0, y=1 => 0.5 & 1
now take, x= 3, y=1 => 2 & 2
Are the answers correct?
Where are these questions from?
Yes the answers are correct
How did u do the 16th one
for the 14th and 20th one u took random nos right
Barron
Cud u elaborate the solution of the 14th one
yeah, so the way i did question 14 was picking numbers.
Similar trend is followed in Q. 16, only we see we don’t have total number of boys or girls.
If you pick number of boys be 10, so number if girls also becomes 10.
So, we can just pick numbers like we did in Q. 14 and get the answer as D.
If you need numbers or more elaboration, just message here. I will be happy to help.
cud u elaborate it
Like what smart nos shud i select
CASE 1
lets take, total number of boys = 10 = number of girls
total weight of boys = 150 x 10 = 1500
lets say 9 boys weight 140 = 9 x 140 = 1260, so last boy weights 1500-1260 = 240
Here no. of boys weighting over 150 = 1
similarly, total weight of girls = 110 x 10 = 1100
lets say 9 girls weight 111 = 111 x 9 = 999, so last girl weighs 1100-999 = 101.
here, no. of girls weighting over 110 = 9
IN this case no. of girls are more
CASE 2
total weight of boys = 150 x 10 = 1500
lets say 9 boys weight 155 = 9 x 155 = 1395, so last boy weights 1500-1395 = 105
Here no. of boys weighting over 150 = 9
similarly, total weight of girls = 110 x 10 = 1100
lets say 9 girls weight 100 = 100 x 9 = 900, so last girl weighs 1100-900 = 200
here, no. of girls weighting over 110 = 1
IN this case no. of boys are more
Thank you. Sorry for the trouble. Thank you once again
