Answer: E
Why is the answer E? Tbh none of the answers seem right to me. Author says even if we stop producing ozone-destroying chemicals it won’t do anything, because too much has already been produced already. E says that if we reuse the chemicals, we won’t have to produce the new ones, but production of the new ones is not the authors complaint! Authors complaint is that too much has been produced already!
E is correct because it implies that the old coolant from the existing refrigerators can be recovered, aka, they won’t be released into the ozone layer. So, we can stop them from destroying the ozone layer.
The authors claim is that since these old chemicals were already produced, it doesnt matter if we stop new manufacture. But, E) suggests that we can indeed recapture and reuse the old chemicals and prevent this issue.
Hope this makes sense!
