Hello everyone,
I do not know if this has been answered before (I can’t find the thread in the forum) but can someone please help me solve this question? I was under the impression that if we are not told anything about the triangle, we cannot assume anything about the lengths of its side. Thank you in advance!
Yes that’s correct, we can’t assume any such explicit information. But in general triangle theory says that sum of two sides is always greater than the third side. So here x+y would always greater than z. Isn’t this the answer?

Yes, that is the answer. Thank you!
