Anyone have any insight into why B is right??
- In the figure above, AB is a line segment. What is
x - y/x+y ?
A) 5/24
B) 1/4
C) 7/16
D) 11/24

If you look at the diagram you will see that the group of X and group of Y is divided by line AB. Which means that the sum of all X = 180 and sum of all Y= 180.
Now coming to X side, we see that 180 is divided in 3 equal angles marked X. **Therefore value of X is 180/3=60 **
Similarly Y side is divided in to 5 equal angles marked Y. **Therefore value of Y is 180/5=36 **
Now that we know the values of X(60) & Y(36), plug those values in equation and solve it.
