Are the Big Book Reading Comprehension passages and questions comparable to the actual GRE in terms of the level of difficulty?
Surprisingly (with the generous help of Greg’s strategies), I’ve been getting almost perfect scores on all the RC passages timed, so my hopes have been quite high. Regardless, I’m still going to practice out of the Big Book because I know Greg says it is an amazing resource. I was still curious about its level of difficulty though.
Thanks in advance!!
The level of difficulty is not so much different than the current GRE but the things that were changed are : How may questions you encounter per passage and Question type.
For example in old GRE you get 7 question per passage in contrast to maximum 4 question per passage in current GRE.
Also, some new question type like “Highlight the Sentence” Question, Bold Faced, Fill-in-the-Blank have been added and question type like given an appropriate name for the paragraph have been dropped.
