I have a doubt regarding the Long Para RC question in Section 4 of the Big book Test-1, in the 20th Question, Greg discussed it but he didn’t discuss why option C is not valid, I was indecisive between the two and more inclined towards the correct answer option D because for inferrence in this question we were looking for what the author thinks would “actually change” the condtions of women’s work and in the paragraph we know the author thinks that the following did NOT alter women’s working conditions:

  1. gender segregation; so many women are not working in the same fields as men; not enough women
  2. they are still not as highly paid as men
  3. the jobs they have are of lower skill requirements
  4. the jobs they have dont give any room for advancement; low oppurtunity

so, we have to look for options opposite to the above 4 points and I feel that C is opposing the 1st point; I want to know why it is incorrect.

C restates this same pattern - gender segregation.

Author is arguing for equal numbers of women/opportunities in spaces with men. C is the opposite of this since, this field is essentially another gender-based role or job just like the secretarial job with more women than men.

Ah okay, I guess I was story-telling a little bit because jobs in electronics could be blue collar and 4:1 ratio would mean more women, but the author wants equal number and not the numbers turned around.
