The answer is D but since the 2 chords are equal in length cant we assume that they must be parallel? Am i missing something? What concepts should I work on for this?
For visualization purposes, you can imagine that x is the radius of the given circle. As you can see line segment BC does not have to be parallel to line segment AD.

You only need the definition of an arc. There’s no special concept at play here.
