In these types of questions, why can’t we just convert the given area to cm i.e. (12*2=24)
Why do we need to convert the dimensions first ?
The dimensions of the area are units2. In this case, it will be cm2.
So, indeed, you can convert the area to cm2 by multiplying by 2×2 = 4.
Since 1m = 2cm
12 m2 = 12 × (2) × (2) = 48 cm2
