Can you please confirm if I can approach these questions like below:
I assigned proportions to the different sections of the circle.
So if the whole circle is 6 and the centre between O and P is 2.
Shaded region of circle O will be 6 - 2 =4
Twice the shaded region will be 4*2 = 8
Area of P will be = 6
Therefore A is bigger.
The only case where this doesn’t work is if the area of the whole circle is 4 and the shared section O-P is 2 , but that would mean the shaded region and unshaded region is equal , which it isn’t, because visually its not a semi circle.
Is there a simpler approach?
