Have anyone solved the following question? It’s from Big book Test 25 section 4. I can’t understand question number 24.
Question is asking about mileage of compact car. So, 1st we look at total cost of fuel which is $4500. Now, we will divide it by $1.50 (per gallon price of fuel), so we have 4500/1.50=3000 gallons of fuel. That is total fuel consumed for period of 4 years. So, we will divide it by 4 and get 750 per year. As mentioned above the 1st table that car is driven 15000 miles per year, so, 15000/750=20. So, C is the right answer.
Thanks, man. But I was confused that the cost for fuel given here is avg cost, not the total cost.
