Answer is : (A) naivete
but isn’t the 2nd idea a contrast? so, wouldn’t it be the opposite of impressionable?
what did i miss can someone explain?

That’s the tricky part. It’s more this;

We knew x, but we were still surprised by x

The contrast is between “realized” and “surprised” here, so the other stuff stays the same.
