Hi, please I need help understanding this TC question. What is the logic to answer this question?

The logic I followed:
“As for” is indicationg support for blank 2 and the word “alleged” is a negative connotation, so whatever I put in blank 2 has to make the second idea negative.(I guessed the word “big” )

Then for blank 1, I couldn’t see the logic behind it.

Actually, “as for” and “alleged” creates a contrast. So “value of expert opinion” and “_____ evidence of failure of such opinions” need to contrast. Try and work from there.
