It is puzzling to observe that Jones’s novel has
recently been criticized for its ------- structure,
since commentators have traditionally argued
that its most obvious ------- is its relentlessly
rigid, indeed schematic, framework.
(A) attention to … preoccupation
(B) speculation about. .characteristic
(C) parody of. .disparity
(D) violation of. .contradiction
(E) lack of. .flaw
Now i got the correct ans that is E.
MY thought process was “since commentators have traditionally argued” ----> Earlier they have already criticized about the structure… What confused/ puzzled the author is the "Recently criticised " again “blank” structure. and criticised —> something like a flaw so ans E.
CAn anyone pls tell me if my thinking is correct or not. And if there are any other thinking process to solve this problem then let me them too. @gregmat
