This is a QC question and I am unable to understand how to solve this. The main thing I am getting stuck at, is finding the length and width measurement of inner rectangle because even if I subtract 2 twice from the given measurements, it won’t provide me with the measurements of inner rectangle because the measurement of outer shaded region is unknown. The solution for this is not present in the big book solution series. Please help with this. Thank you!

I am sorry for the trouble. The answer is D only. Since the answer key of both sections were together I read answer for the different section of the same test. I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused
