Are there any breaks between the sections in the GRE now (the shorter version)? If not, does it immediately jump to another section when the earlier section is done or is there some buffer time in between (like a minute or so) ?
There are no official breaks. However, you will need to read and click through a set of instructions before each new section. I recommend taking an ETS practice test for free to get a better sense of what I am talking about.
So, there are no breaks. But, nobody is penalizing you if you take a minute to read the instructions before jumping into the next section. I mean, you probably should read them thoroughly anyway. So use that time as a moment to catch your breath if needed, but don’t go over what’s reasonable.
Hey, thanks for the reply. Are we allowed to take loo breaks in between the sections?
You could probably do so if you ask your proctor (especially if it’s in-person exam). But I can’t say if its a hard rule.
