I couldn’t understand how the last line starting from however, is the author’s view ?
Indeed, many thinks…luvluvluvla, but what I think…
When an author starts a sentence with many thinks , it, usually, indicates that the author is just setting it up to give his or her own view.
Indeed, many thinks…
Why many thinks like that? Then the author gave reasons: they were friends, they jointly wrote letters, they used to like each other’s work, and they also championed didacticism and innovation in fiction.
(Usually in GRE passages, when the author tries to give his or her own opinion. They tend to put others’ scholars’ thinking or opinions or popular beliefs. Right after that it’s a hammer time.)
However,… (the author’s intent: hello reader, here is the important point I want to make)
It’s more of an academic way to give someone’s opinion.
