Can the last sentence be taken 2 ways?

After “but” i understand from the video that the adjective is suppose to be for the movie but I originally read as Roger’ Ebert”s take as the subject instead of the movie. Could someone help rewire my brain to understand why the blank should be describing the movie and not Roger’s take on the movie as the subject?

Thank you!
