Can you please explain how is ‘at best’ -ve here?
It is a common phrase. You know how when we say, “what can happen at worst? We won’t win right? But we at least gotta try” we are actually saying that it is not that bad. So it has a positive connotation. Similarly, “at best” here has a negative connotation. I hope that makes sense.
