Chart Q - Average sales versus average decline in sales

Hi, in image 1, we were asked to find the average decline of student population from 1972 to 1980. I did 46-42 to calculate the total decline and divided that by 8 as that is the period in question. In the ‘Follow the Process’ video, Ganesh in the middle of a student question, said that this question is different from one where only average student population per year were asked. if that were asked, we would add up the student population in each year from 1972-1980 and divide that by 8 right?

In the image with the earnings and sales, we would calculate the average increase in sales by subtracting 100-30, and dividing that across 7 years, whereas average sales per year would be the sum of sales in each year divided by the total number of years. right?
