I was solving the Vocab Quiz Hour “October 19, 2020” And in this question “#41” I got “proclivity” as the answer, however, in the solution Greg said it would be “antipathy”.
I just wanted to explain my thought process and try to understand where I went wrong. For me, it goes: “His PROCLIVITY (Inclination) for liberal economic theory was well-known, but that didn’t preclude (“Stop him, despite being inclined”) Dr. Jones from ranting endlessly about its flaws to the few who would listen at conferences.”
Like if he has hatred or antipathy towards something he will eventually rant about it, why would anything be stopping him from doing that?
