Data Analysis Foundation Quiz #2 Question 8

Since the 36 is farther from the median compared to 20, why isn’t the mean skewed to the right?
The answer to this is D but I thought it’d be B.

As a follow-up, in which types of questions does the distribution pull the mean?

Because you can’t read off the mean from a box plot. Since this is a right skewed box plot, a likely thing you can say is that the mean lies between the median and upper quartile.
