Data Analysis Inclusion - Exclusion Principle Quiz Q4

Hi,
I’m confused about why the correct answer is (D) instead of (C). It seems incorrect to assume that individuals from other countries are involved when the question doesn’t explicitly mention it. Based on the context, I believe we shouldn’t make assumptions that go beyond the information provided in the question. If we are considering external knowledge for this particular question, shouldn’t we be applying the same approach to all related problems? However, not doing so in other cases has still led to correct answers.
Thanks!

I agree, we shouldn’t assume that there will be people from other countries. @ganesh any opinions here!

So, this would be done as UK + US - Both + Neither = Total

If there were no people from other countries, QA would be:

44+34-19 + 0 = 59

But, we don’t know how many are from neither country so if neither is not 0, it wouldn’t be 59, right?

So we should choose D

Got it, thanks!
