Dedicated Geometry 5

Session 5 in Day 20 of 1 month plan. Did the following GregMat special ever get solved? The answer I got was D, 2/√3.

How did you solve this? I backsolved by substituting the answers in the Pythagorean theorem, and it seems like only option D leads to a suitable value for RO or OS.

By construction joint OT (Radius) and then you got your self an equilateral , use the 30:60:90 ratio and you will get the side

substitution is not a good strategy when u have 2 unknowns

Oh okay. Since I couldn’t figure out any other solution, substitution was my last resort. But the triangle method makes sense now. Thanks!
