Are the solutions posted for the 3 homework questions following Dedicated Quant Strategies Session 8? In the two month study plan, these can be found in Week 6 Day 1.
I’ve not followed the plans, but do you need help with these?
Yes, I am struggling on the top question (a, b, c variable). Advice on how to solve would be appreciated.
For the middle question (hexagon), I got A. For the bottom (rs), question I got D. Please confirm.
Yes, you’re absolutely right
Q2 - area of 6 equilateral triangles with side 6
Q3 - expand quantity A and you’ll find that the difference between the two quantities will be 2rs which is not 0 as the question states, so it can be negative or positive. So D is correct
Q1 - just cross multiply the denominators and it will simplify the expression.
b + \frac{1}{c} becomes \frac{bc + 1}{c} and the c (denominator of the denominator) goes up to the numerator. So the equation simplifies to a + \frac{c}{bc+1}. Cross multiply one more time and you’ll get the answer
Thanks! I got E using the method you described. Is that correct?
