Difficulty level of bigbook

I am studying for approx 3 months…recently took pp1 and scored 314 ,(I solved 3-4 questions beforehand)
But my mocks are quite frustrating, scores rage from 297-305….I am really confused, what the hell is going on?
Currently solving bigbook for TC and quant.I get 27+/30…is bookbook too easy?or difficulty level is similar to GRE?

I think if you want to practice from BigBook Quant (Which is great for strengthening your basics) then use it like this:

  • 30question in 30 mins
  • No Calculator

As for TC’s; I think it a little easier than current format due to pairing (makes it easier to eliminate some answer choices ) but overall it still one of the best resources available for practicing ETS verbal section after the current material !

Also, How do you solve using Big Book ? Un-Timed , timed or both ? Also , how are you practicing strategies ?

For quant,I solve 30 q within 20 min,with calculator…but during mock I ran out of time…are mocks too difficult?

In case case TC I take 8-9 min for 7 q.usually untimed practice …try to follow math strategy

How long should I spend in TC section in real GRE?

BigBook quant section are not designed with calculator in mind as during that era ; calculator were not allowed during GRE!

30 mins 20 question per verbal section in GRE = 1:30 mins per question for verbal
