Can someone explain why Greg multiplied with 5/4, I actually added 1/4 to the x for the sentence (1/4 more than the car payment for rent)

1/6x+ 1/6x+1/4 = x
Hey, here since it is 1/4 more than the amount mentioned. He did 1+1/4 = 5/4. x is the monthly salary, 1/6x is the amount spent on the car. (1+1/4)*1/6x is 1/4 more than the car payment or the amount used for rent. so we get (1/6 + 5/24)x as the total amount spent.
