I completely agree with the piece strategy used by Greg to solve this question, however, I was wondering whether the same question be solved using double possibility.
For the first blank, I guessed 2 words that were: the same and different, that is the words either meant the same thing or didn’t.
For the second Blank, I chose True and False.
I then chose the answer to be Different and true.
However, I do agree that as the word “because” is present at the start the first blank should be single, but I would still like to differ and can someone please just clear the misunderstanding I have
This is first a quite common problem, that I see a lot of students tripping on, you chose the first blank to be [same or different] , what makes you chose these two words
Various meanings …single meaning
but people confuse various meaning with , meaning that similar or dissimilar, its actually not saying whether the various means were same or different , it is saying whether a term had one meaning or a lot of meaning.
the contrast is happening on number of meanings of the term, one meaning or various (a lot of ) meaning !!!
Not the nature of those meanings , whether they are similar or different
