If three of the people leaves the line, then why are they still counting them?
I made the same error during the live class I guess. I didn’t read the question correctly. It said “if 3 leaves, then there will be 8 people ahead of Shandra” if 3 were to leave there will be 8. So in reality, removing this hypothetical situation, we have 11 people currently. The number of people “currently” in the line is asked, and not the number of people in line, if the hypothetical situation mentioned were correct.

If they were to leave the line (but they are not), 8 people would be ahead of Shandra. Thus, currently, they are still there…
