Doubt in Official GRE Verbal Reasoning Practice Question Book

In this question, I wasn’t able to make any semantic guess for (ii) and (iii). (i) was pretty obviously a support for “original writing.” But there was essentially no evidence given for (ii) and (iii). What would be your strategy and approach here? It becomes fairly straightforward after looking at the options.

P.S. I did get it right in the end—unfortunately using the ‘greg’forsaken substitution method.

This is my (personal) take on this.

Answers can de deduced in 2 ways:

  1. Looking at the context clues in the statement/passage and guessing the words/ideas that go in the blank.

But what if (as is common in more advanced questions) the passage does not give enough clues as to what could go in the blank?

  1. Options are so designed as to allow only one objective pick per blank

In this question, all 3 blanks need to concur with the idea of originality: reinventing language and form, undoing stylistic conventions and introducing rich and diverse structure of meaning are easy picks because of the way options are designed by ETS.
