Doubt regarding Slope

Hi everyone,

Can you please take a look at my query regarding slopes :

We know that, in an X-Y coordinate, whenever the line creates an angle of 45 degrees, the slope is 1.
And x=y.

When this angle > 45 , y>x
When this angle < 45 , x > y
When this angle is 90 degrees the slope is undefined and when this angle is 180 degrees the slope is zero.

My question is, in all the above cases, where exactly does the line create that angle? Is it at the origin strictly or anywhere on the X or Y axis?

If you want to learn more than google angle of inclination of line but beware it contains advance mathematics topic like trigonometry which is not tested in GRE.
