In this question, I chose “shows” for the first blank because if two things show the same result, it can indicate a coincidence—for example, when two equations show the same answer. However, I don’t understand how Greg eliminated “reveal” and “exhibit.” If two discoveries reveal the same DNA sequence, that could also be a coincidence. Similarly, if they exhibit the same structure, that could still be coincidental. So I’m not clear on why those options were ruled out.
How do you know they are showing the same result though?
“M and C reveal/exhibit a long identifiable sequence of DNA” does not necessarily indicate that the DNA is identical. They could be different sets of DNA that are both long and identifiable
