  1. I get that : is + . My question is why Although doesn’t override it and makes the whole idea Bad and last blank – produced NO result.

  2. For the second blank can I follow time contrast?

: it means the idea of both the sentences will be positive(same) and although is for that particular sentence, so that’s why it does not override it.
