Edify and its antonyms

In one of verbal quizzes theres the following question.

I just wanted to understand how edify is an antonym for learn. I checked Miriam Webster and antonyms of edify are confuse, puzzle, perplex and generally the opposite of learning something.

Is it an antonym is the sense you are not actively teaching but rather providing the tools for empowerment? I know that sounds like a load of malarkey but yeah I’m kinda lost.

edify looks more like synonym then an antonym to me.

I guess my logic was edify is to “teach” something. And “learn” is the opposite of teach.
