You computed the slope incorrectly the first time. It should be 2 - 5, not 2 - (-5).
Length is just a pair of opposite sides of the rectangle. The exact wording isn’t as important.

My interpretation was incorrect as I considered
1.2V50=C
I thought 1.2 times volume means 1.2*V

You are trying to compare the volumes. This means that the variables you are trying to compare should not have V in it. See my earlier answer.
