I cannot follow the logic here.

  • According to the second sentence, the fact that ‘the shorter the parasite is in the human the more harmful it is.’ is NOT always true.
  • I thought the first sentence would say about dangerous species (which I got right B for (i)). And since they have entered into human body recently, they don’t have enough time (E for (ii)) to be harmful (blank for (iii).

I cannnot piece these two sentences together with logic and information. Please help me understand. Thank you!


This question forces us to do it in certain order. The key idea is at the last sentence : "Yet there is no reliable …species "

so less time = harmful
more time = less harmful

Blank(i) says malarial parasite more recently entered thus, blank(i) = harmful .
And if they’re more recently entered then they have less time [blank(ii)] to evolve toward being less harmful[blank(iii)]
