ETS Trap

Hey everybody, I am trying to identify support and contrast in TC questions. I stumbled across a question

Where as the art critic Vasari saw the painting entitled the Mona Lisa as an original and wonderful(1) ___
feat, the reproduction of a natural object, the aesthetes saw it as(2) ____ that required deciphering.

In Greg’s video, he said that “where as” is a trap, why is where as a trap here?

“where as” signals a contrast thus, if you start focusing on it then the blanks may get very hard as the support is present right after the blanks but your mind is stuck on the fact that the two blanks are opposite !

So, what would be the best way to tackle this problem so that I don’t end up focusing on where as.
