How to solve this problem without a calci
whats the relation between x x^2 x^1/2
and 1/x , 1/x^2 and 1/x^3

The square root and the cube root of a negative no does not exist right

  1. I don’t see what cross multiplication has to do with this one
  2. Estimate: \sqrt{403} \approx 20 and (0.998)^2 \approx 1.
  3. Elimination looks like a good way for this one. Also: for z, write 1 as a square and use a^2 - b^2 = (a + b)(a - b)
  4. The square root of a negative number is not real. The cube root of a negative number does indeed exist in the real space though (for example, the cube root of -8 is -2).

1. For the first one I did
Initial case :
x --------> 10mins ---------> 2x 10^4 -------> 10 mins -----------> 2 x 10^x
as per the question
10^4 ------> 60 mins ----. ?
2^6x 10^4
so then the ans is C is it correct

2.
60 x 1^2
------------- = 3
20
Is my answer correct?

Yes

thanks

4. Oh yes I assumed that the cube root does not exist
so the answer is between -4 and -5 thats C

3
I didnt follow the 3rd one

Yes for Q4

For Q3, notice that z is negative (as (1 - 0.08)^2 < 1). Also, y > x as (0.008)2 < 1. Hence, the relation is z < x < y β†’ option C
