can anyone give me a comprehensive list of all the free practice tests available for toefl?
I personally think that this approach of searching for free tests would not be very helpful to you. The test questions made by third party companies are mostly not according to the standards of ETS.
As a recent test taker, I think the Official guides and test volumes are quite enough. You can also get some free tests and one new section every day from the ETS Testready website. Additionally, if you need timed practice, Reading and Writing can be done by simply using a watch (experience of timed Speaking and Listening section is a little different in exam).
Most importantly, it is not the volume of questions you solve that matters but the mastery of the strategies that actually prepares you for the problems.
thank you for your advice. could you please tell me how the timing works in the speaking and listening sections in the real test? also none of the testready material are free though. which free sections are you talking about?
In the speaking section questions comes after one another, in practice however, it is hard to maintain this condition. Doing bad in one question might give you some anxiety but you must get back up and keep calm for the next and just follow your strategies. In listening, the time is quite short, timer stops when the audio plays. So, you must allocate your time wisely.
In the TestReady website, you must login to your account and if you scroll down, you will see a “Free To You” Section.
I feel i need to practice some full length mocks to develop the stamina for an actual 2 hour long test. so do you know any websites where i can access these?
TestGilder, Magoosh - I tried and wasn’t pleased with the question quality.
TSTPrep - I haven’t tried it but the free independent speaking topics are really good.
