Functions Question

Hi everyone, i am unable to understand the explanation given for the question in the picture (without backsolving)

I follow till the n is replaced by n+1 and dividing by the same to get x^n but do not follow the logic given thereafter which allows us to bring the (n+1) in the denominator within the function.

Hint: use the second equation.

Understood. If we replace n with 1/(n+1) for n*f(x) we can bring it within the function.
