Hey all - I am on week 5 of the 2 month study plan and wanted to get some advice on how to spend the last 4 weeks before test day.
I’m going for a 167 quant, a 4 point improvement over my last attempt a year ago. I took two baselines 4 weeks ago - one ETS and one GregMat. My ETS quant score was 162, and my and my gregmat was 156. I put more stock in the Gregmat since I’ve already used up my ETS practice exams, and was familiar with the questions
I"m thinking of organizing the next few weeks as follows:
This week: Finish week 5 of 2 month study plan content this week
This weekend: Take another practice test this weekend. Assess where weaknesses are
Next week: Finish week 6-7 content of the 2 month study plan
Week After: finish week 8 content. Take another practice test week before
4 weeks from now: Continue reviewing missed questions, flashcards, and get mentally prepared.
Main question is how I should manage finishing the 2 month study plan vs. focusing on practice tests.
Hey @ganesh - I mentioned this in another thread my practice scores have been plateauing at the 160 level.
time management is an issue i’ve been running into: I’ve been following the GregMat advice of starting with PS, then doing DI, then QC last, making sure to skip 1-2 and trying to see all of the questions within the first 12-15 minutes. I just haven’t been able to find a flow here because DI tends to be slower for me and I tend to then rush the QC.
Originally I was going through the test linearly and then going back to problems I skipped. I might try reverting back to this since I’ve scored well with this strategy in the past.
Took the test today and got a 158 in quant. I think I made it to the hard second section, but my flow as off. Partly due to an interruption from the exam proctor, and partly because it came last (VQVQ order), but I just wasn’t feeling it.
Disappointing because I got a perfect score the prior week on pp3.
