I was about to start my prep for retaking my GRE, and I had already finished two months’ plan in December during my initial Gre preparation. So, will there be a difference in marks or practice if I prepare from the new month’s plan? Also, Greg used tc&se session 3 in the new plan. Can I swap them to the new tc&se plan?
I also noticed additional practice quizzes in the 2-month plan that are not included in the new one-month plan, can I also add them to my preparation? Is there a lot of difference between the previous 2-month plan and the revised 2-month plan?
I am pretty confused about this earlier I got 295 and my target score 320+. I am targeting to giving my exam in the last week of May.
In my opinion, the first thing you should do is thoroughly go through your diagnostics, and then write down 3-4 bullet points where you think you went wrong.
As you mentioned that you are targeting a score of 320+, you need to decide whether you want to score high in the quant section, high in verbal, or achieve equal scores in both.
A score of 295 suggests that your foundation is not strong. I recommend going through the ETS math review to ensure that you understand every concept that it covers. You can also utilize resources such as Khan Academy, YouTube, Google, or Greg’s concept classes (GRE Quant Concept Series - GregMat). To test your understanding, you can use the 5lb book or practice questions on Gregmat’s site or the Big Book.
When you have just learned a new concept, start with un-timed practice to see how much you have learned, followed by timed practice. It is essential to review your work and note down your findings to figure out where you are making mistakes. The same approach should be used for verbal: watch a concept, do un-timed practice, timed practice, and log your findings for that practice session, and repeat.
Also, fix a dedicated time-slot for GRE in your daily schedule and stick through it till your test date!
Thank you so much for the suggestions. I want 165 around marks in quant and 155-160 in verbal. Is new one-month plan will be enough for revision and practice?
Totally depends on you ! Like how fast are you able to grasp the concept → are you able to apply them → able to apply them under time-constraint → able to modify concept acc. to your own understanding etc…
Not paid by Greg (I wish), but I’m really liking PrepSwift as a way to run through every Quant concept individually to make sure I understand them all before my next GRE. Since you’re not repeating the established 1 month or 2 month program again, consider taking two weeks to cover every video in the Quant section on PrepSwift, along with your other math practice.
Thank you for the suggestions
