Geometry question - solving visually?

This question is from PrepSwift Quant Tickbox Quiz #10 (Geometry Column 1) question 7. The video explanation didn’t go into depth so I thought I would ask here.

For the below triangle (attached), we can see from the picture that z+y+the other inside angle (let’s call it a) =180 degrees and all three are acute. Therefore, wouldn’t z+y+x (which is an obtuse angle) necessarily be more than 180 as x>a?

Am I missing something here or is the triangle not to scale?
