Grammar/Usage Strategy Class Doubt

Hi @gregmat ,

In Grammar/Usage Strategy class, with above example, You mentioned that verbal attacks cannot wasted or verbal attacks cannot be diverted and context does not matter in given strategy.

I was little bit skeptical about same and asked ChatGPT, and It gave me following examples for same.

Can we say that context is important in this strategy then? I recently started a lot of academic readings from past 6 months, But I am still not quite sure If Native speaker would say something like this or not while using above strategy? May you help me in same?

Thank you

It’s not necessarily about an absolute – more about is it likely for people to say that? If not, how unlikely is it? If I rarely encounter the phrase in my academic reading, them I’m usually pretty comfortable eliminating it for that reason. If you’re not, you can avoid the strategy altogether.
