Doff my hat to ETS for this one.
I really love/hate this question. I was totally thrown off by the wording here and got caught in the sentence and failed to apply math strategy. Had I applied it, I would have noticed that there was no contrast indicator, but silly me assumed there was one from the tone of the question. Damn you, ETS, damn you, well played. I won’t reveal the answer here in the interest of not spoiling it!
