GRE Big Book test 3 Section 5 q 5

Here according to my understanding, I thought “which is -------, " is talking more about the entire first idea”
the opposition of good and evil is portrayed as a ------- between technology", but it is talking more only about technology(after I checked the answer key). How do I understand this?

“In science fiction films, the opposite of good and evil is portrayed as a I)--------- between technology”

This bit itself isn’t really an idea, so “which” cannot be referring to that, right?

Why isn’t it an idea?

Because “between technology” by itself doesn’t make sense right?

@ganesh @kamal just want to check if my way is correct - I’m a bit confused with this question as well:

  1. For the first blank, I reused the word ‘opposition’ because if there is an opposition/ conflict between good and evil, it seems like there is a conflict between the two things mentioned later i.e., ‘technology’ vs ‘errant will of a depraved intellectual’
  2. using the block of 4, using good vs evil as the first set of contrast, good should correspondingly refer to ‘which is ________’ so blank 2 should be something positive given the evil corresponds to ‘errant will of a depraved intellectual’

Does this make sense?

Looks good

Agreed.

I would do it exactly the same way as you.

PS. Please don’t tag us to look at your question

Thanks, will keep the tagging part in mind. I just did so as this was an older thread.
