Can anyone help me with this question? I cannot get this one.

Hey! For the first blank, the word “normally” indicates a contrast. Pavoratti sailed through the composition. Sailed through means it was easy for him. So the word in the blank should be something negative.
For the second blank, you can use usage strategy. What would a folk singer perform? A song or a ballad can be a good fit here.
